Our Team

Lex Muir has spent his entire working life in Financial Services, starting out with Royal Bank of Scotland before moving to Prudential Assurance, where he served as District Agent, Financial Consultant and then Sales Manager before leaving to form Muir Consultancy in 2000. 

A keen outdoorsman, Lex’s passions include hillwalking, gardening and fishing.  He is a very committed Burnsian (fan of Robert Burns, Scotland’s national poet), and has been a member of Galloway Mountain Rescue Team since 2012.

Daniel Muir is Case Manager within the practice having joined in Summer 2020.  He is very much a ‘detail person’ which is a great asset since his role requires him to set up new client files and monitor them as they go through the ‘advice journey’ for accuracy of completion.  Daniel was also the driving force behind us reviewing our website, resulting in the completely new site launched in May 2021. 

Daniel’s biggest passions are music and animals.
